Did you know Honiton has a Cinema?

Enjoyed watching The Artist at Honiton Community Cinema last night – great community enterprise run by a few dedicated people. The group was launched in 2011 and has put on several films at the Mackarness Hall on the High Street. Screenings take place once a month and tickets are available from the toy shop and the tourist information centre. I’m looking forward to the next film The Help – fantastic book, be interesting to see it come to life on the big screen.

I’m particularly supportive of this local enterprise as the community element fits into the ethos of Transition Town Honiton which I’m a part of. I’m also very involved with the fundraising to build our Beehive Community Centre here in Honiton and we hope the Community Cinema will move into there when it’s built – with comfier seats and a screen in situ.

Find out more about our local cinema group here and come along to see a film, you’ll enjoy it www.honitoncommunitycinema.co.uk
